Job Description:

Senior Software Developer assist in leading the design and development of software solutions for complex applications problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align to strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture. The Senior-Level Software Developer understands/performs software development and assists with making high-level design choices and helps identify technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.


+ Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level software developers to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets

+ Develop and manage the source code to support of baseline service deployments. Support the integration of code baselines into the production instance

+ Add functionality to allow edits of published entities outside the baseline cycle to correct discrepancies

+ Assist with the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing software systems

+ Assist with high-level software design choices and technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms

+ Create prototypes to evaluate new technologies

+ Troubleshoot advanced production issues in collaboration with DevOps

Required Skills:

+ Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain one

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program. (In lieu of BS degree an additional 3+ years of related experience may be considered.)

+ A minimum of 10+ years of working experience in one or more of the following areas including: C#, .NET, Java, Java Script, JSP, HIBERNATE, TOMCAT, HTML 5 and CSS

+ Experience in more than one of the following areas: cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro-services, API development or DevSecOps

+ Experience building and delivering working products to customers in a modern, cloud-based software environment

Desired Skills:

+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program

+ Experience in tailoring and using both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies

+ Prior experience with Oracle or AWS EC2

+ SAFe Agile certification

+ Security + or equivalent certification

+ Familiarity with basic server administration tasks

Salary Range:

$113,100.00 – $203,600.00
