Drive TAE / Personnel Responsibility:

+ Interviews, hires, and monitor the performance of team members; reviews and evaluates their needs and potential; develop appropriate cross-training and other development programs. Review and approve the performance and merit increase proposals for all assigned associates.

+ Work with a complex and diverse workforce consisting of Supervisors, Material Handlers, Maintenance Mechanics, Mfg and Quality Engineers, Sales and Marketing, Forklift Operators, Leads, Contract Associates and Co-associates in a fast changing and highly demanding production environment (15-25 direct reports – Front Line Associates, Value Stream Lead, and Material Handlers).

+ Assist other Business leaders (Customer Care, Human Resources, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, etc) in the development and/or revision of policies and procedures. Serves on various teams, conducts research, and provides input so policies/procedures are developed or changed to meet the needs of the customer and company.

+ Establishes goals and metrics for the team, set and drive performance ownership and assess performance. Make adjustments as necessary to ensure the team is meeting its goals. Accountable for all areas of team performance, including, but not limited to: safety, quality, productivity, materials performance, overhead costs, performance to schedule and profitability.

+ Engages associates in verifying BOM integrity, creating SOP and Standard Work, 5S, cross training, associate development and recognition.

Own and Lead Visual Daily Management:

+ Ensure internal and external measurements and systems are in place to effectively drive data driven problem solving (scientific method) and alignment of resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction, world class performance and strategic goals.

+ Ensure the ability to quickly diagnose the business operations and develop countermeasures that have the biggest impact on customer satisfaction and financial performance of the business.

+ Ensure the process helps associates and leaders “tell the story” of what is happening in our business and measure the impact of the deployed corrective actions and process changes.

+ Determining the right priority at the right time and adjust resources to satisfy those priorities while not allowing other tasks to slip. Schedules and needs that are constantly in flux require the Manager to be flexible in determining priorities and work hours.

Manage the Value Stream P&L:

+ Responsible for implementing annual cost reduction initiatives and maintaining an active “project funnel” file to be reviewed with local and corporate leadership.

+ Directs the preparation of expense budgets for the Value Stream and updates monthly forecasts during the year.

+ Conduct analysis of Current Costs versus Standard Costs

+ Determines capital, manpower and expense requirements, makes recommendations, and complete and submit CER when required.

+ Ensure that required preventative maintenance and repairs are budgeted and completed in assigned areas

+ Monitoring the utilization of materials and resources; identify wasteful practices and methods; resolve problems and communicate concerns as necessary.

+ Develop great people, create winning plans, and implement repeatable processes to drive superior performance.

+ Work with and share performance ownership goals with other functional leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals, and achieve superior customer satisfaction, world class performance

+ Implementation and drive visual Continuous Improvement Process:

+ PQPR-> Current State -> Future State -> Roadmap (30 / 90 day) -> Kaizen report-outs -> TTI

+ Continuous improvement is consistently owned and driven by associates at the point of impact

+ Active leadership and participation in SIOP

+ Understand and help ensure demand forecast is accurately calculated through understanding of past trends and future changes/requirements (review and help improve VOC).

+ Ensure correct stocking levels based on changes in demand, seasonality, and new product launches.

+ Drive improvements in inventory $ and reduction in part shortages by tying demand changes to inventory: safety stock, container size, lead time

+ Understanding and articulate how different elements impact the overall performance (customer satisfaction and financial)

+ Develop and enable advanced scenario planning and resource optimization to account for sales being below or above forecast (e.g. flex resources and finished goods inventory, work with sales and marketing to increase sales of product lines, etc.)

+ Actively participate in and provide leadership and support in NPD, stage gate, and VAVE

+ Actively participate and provide leadership in OpEx planning and SD development and review.

+ Actively apply, teach and implement the RBS tools (TPM, 3P, VRK, PQPR, etc)

Experience and Skill Required

+ Bachelor’s Degree required.

+ 6+ years of experience in a proven leadership role, managing a manufacturing environment and leading continuous improvement activities.

+ Bi-lingual a plus.

+ Excellent written and administrative skills, including advanced computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, and data analysis, etc.)

+ Strong leadership and mentoring skills with proven ability to develop employees (leads by example).

+ Self-motivated with strong adaptability and experience to quickly review a problem and make decisions. The ability to deal with the requests of sales, service and outside customers.

+ Team orientation with the ability to work with and influence others.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
