Description Stanley Consultants is currently seeking an Industrial/Institutional Business Development Manager for one of our following offices: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Jackson MI, or Remote. POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager will win and deliver projects in the U.S. with leading industrial and higher education entities to creatively solve their problems and assist in their innovation. The successful candidate will grow existing client relationships and support the identification and development of new clients for Stanley Consultants in manufacturing plants, central utility plants, district energy and utility distribution projects. This position offers an opportunity to play an instrumental role in the direction and strategic growth of an established full-service engineering and consulting firm, and the expansion of those services across the country. This job is ideal for a self-starter and motivated individual looking for diversity, unique challenges, and an opportunity to have a direct impact on the development and success of a growing industrial and institutional services practice. This opportunity offers interaction with a variety of clients in multiple markets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Our new team member will lead and execute the sales strategy for: Industrial manufacturing facility expansions and new construction. District Energy, steam generation, hot and chilled water production, and distribution. Electric upgrades and additions. Plant and Building MEP design and commissioning services. Combined heat and power projects. Energy efficiency upgrades and condition assessments. Power Generation and Renewable Energy projects. Environmental services. Associated studies, technical advisory, and construction services support. The ideal candidate will: Achieve new and add-on business with existing clients by developing and enhancing key client relationships and serving as one of the primary company contacts. Provide leadership in the development of client relationships, capture planning, strategy, pursuit and proposal activities. Participates in project scoping, costing and proposal preparation, interviews, and negotiations to the extent required. Travel as required. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural sciences, or business. 6+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
