Job Description
Drive semi-truck weighing from 35,000 pounds (empty) to no more than 80,000 pounds (loaded). Drive for long distances and transport goods from one location to another. Load vehicles, abide by traffic laws and ensure safe loading, unloading and delivery at destination. Report any incidents encountered on the road to dispatcher. Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects found. Maintain a log of working hours, following all federal and state regulations. Maintain trucks and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
