Job Description Summary

As Director of Software Experience- Imaging, you will apply leadership and management skills, creativity, and a knowledge of user experience design methodologies to conceptualize and deliver coherent and delightful UX designs across imaging modalities. You will lead user experience engagements that require in-depth knowledge in specialized business domains and technologies and you will help build the future of our imaging ecosystem and services.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Develop and lead a global team of UX professionals and report to our company-wide SW Experience head. Enable and guide your team to optimally work towards our northstar of a coherent and delightful, best-in-class portfolio experience for GEHC. Create a high-performing team culture where people are happy, highly engaged, and skilled.

+ Proactively collaborate with other stakeholders in and outside of the company and connect with them regularly to align on Portfolio planning, Roadmaps, Strategy, Budget as well as Experience Design visions and projects for Imaging

+ Guide the design deliverables of your team to meet our business objectives and to delight our customers, including use of and input to our SW Design System

+ Elaborate, drive, and implement product-overarching experience concepts and principles to support our customers’ daily practice, workflows and care paths related to imaging systems seamlessly

+ Collaborate intensely with other teams of our design organization to build our common best practices, processes, and tools landscape, and to facilitate towering of knowledge

+ Lead effective documentation and communication of design

+ Build strong customer relationships, drive customer-centric decisions and partner with customers to help shape their future initiatives

+ Create enthusiasm about professional & strategic experience design and help colleagues see the value of a human-focused approach to all business-related problem solving.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design discipline (Interaction, UX/UI or Industrial Design or related field) or equivalent work experience

+ A minimum of 8 years professional experience in UX design

+ A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in people management

+ Link to digital Portfolio is required for application to be considered

+ Must be comfortable using MAC and PC

+ Proven experience of managing a portfolio of products and solutions

+ Experience in design for the healthcare OR medical device industry

+ Passion for coaching and mentorship

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity

+ Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes

+ Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills, change orientation

+ Demonstrated customer focus, empathy, creativity, and humor

+ Willing to travel up to 20% to visit global team members, business stakeholders, and customers.

+ Ability to navigate a matrixed, highly complex organization while building relationships and trust (manage multiple stakeholder agendas and projects simultaneously)

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems,

+ Able to offer new solutions to problems and persuasively provide recommendations
