Job Description

The Vice President, Acute Care Corporate Sales is responsible for signing and retaining prime vendor distribution programs in the Midwest. The primary job responsibilities will be to close new prime vendor distribution business as well as be responsible for the future strategy of existing distribution programs and the retention of these contractual relationships.

  • Develop and present Medline distribution programs to IDN's (Integrated Delivery Network) or other healthcare systems.
  • Develop leads working through designated sales management and sales groups.
  • Develop and implement sales programs and direct the sales force and logistics execution.
  • Retention oversight of key prime vendor distribution relationships.
  • Introduce and incorporate alternate class of trade opportunities within prime vendor programs (Physician Office, Lab, Post-Acute)
  • RFP development and presentation. Coordinate presentations materials related to an RFP response.
  • Work with IDNs and Medline Corporate Sales Logistics teams to develop advanced supply chain strategy and solutions
  • Manage continued relationships with major healthcare systems.
  • Track sales performance against objectives and inform management of results.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and service goals for the largest and most complex accounts in the organization. Involved in pricing strategies and contract negotiations.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 10 years of sales experience
  • Intermediate skill level with consultative reporting.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (basic functions)
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
