Job Description
School Social Worker/School Counselor
AnthroMed Education is a dedicated and local provider that works closely with pre-K-12th grade schools in Illinois to provide school-based Special Education services, including Social Work. We are currently seeking a School Social Worker or School Counselor in Gages Lake for the 2023-2024 school year. The Social Worker or School Counselor joining will be excited to support this school’s Transition Program. Location: Gages Lake, IL 60030 ABOUT THE ROLE:+ Support in a Transition Program.
+ Manage a caseload of students ages 18-22.
+ Provide therapy to students who may have emotional disturbance and/or behavior concerns.
+ Work alongside a supportive, collaborative team.
+ Partner with parents/guardians, staff, and administration to support the needs of students.
+ Assess, identify, and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.
+ Perform consultations with classroom teachers and be a resource for school site personnel on mental health and social/emotional issues that may affect classroom performance.
+ More duties as assigned.
SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER REQUIREMENTS:+ A Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required.
+ Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required.
+ Dependable, flexible, and dedicated to supporting the social-emotional and educational needs of students.
SCHOOL COUNSELOR REQUIREMENTS:+ Master’s Degree is required.
+ Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement is required .
