Job Description
Collaborate with the team on the design of optimal DB schema configurations for a clustered, highly available database environment in MySQL. Test and provide performance metrics for
different DB schema configurations to confirm stability and high availability. Build out a clustered, highly available database environment in MySQL. Responsible for performance
measurements and tuning. Setup and support replication across various database instances. Work closely in coordination with the systems team to advise on, and test new hardware
configurations. Work closely in coordination with various development teams for implementing and optimizing a new DB schema. Setup and maintain database monitoring and alerting
enhancements. Periodic maintenance including backups/restores and version upgrades. Support existing relational and time series databases across various datacentres. Provide quick
response to production issues to help eliminate downtime ensuring high availability. Responsible for off hours production support for various database instances. 100% Telecommuting.
