Job Description
Support the development of new insurance products and expansion of state specific products by analyzing production metrics, loss data, and trends in regulatory and competitive marketplace; assist in creation of product systems specifications for automation of new products in system; compile and analyze data relevant to product and underwriting performance and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes; monitor product performance to provide underwriting and sales, coverage and pricing recommendations based on data supported feedback; extract, analyze, organize and communicate data and business insights through charts, tables, and graphs to support decision-making; analyze metrics to continually improve products; work across organization to improve analysis of business results ensuring that statistical analysis methods are valid, reliable, & efficient; work with data scientists to implement predictive analytics into business processes; work with product team to develop and deliver metrics, analyses, solutions, insights and actionable recommendations; and communicate with colleagues to ascertain product issues to report to management and to ensure successful implementation of problem solutions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s in economics, finance, math, statistics, or actuarial science + 1 year experience as product analyst or consultant involving high net worth insurance products required. Experience must include 6 months using Excel, SQL and Python.
