The Associate Director, Events & Broker Marketing will be responsible for planning, promotion, project management, execution and results reporting for integrated campaigns and events. The person in this role will serve as the primary project manager for larger campaigns and events including the annual Trustmark Producer Conference, internal and external sales incentive trips, trade shows, customer meetings and internal meetings. The person in this role will work directly with the executive sponsors, third-party vendors, partners, and marketing team members to create campaigns that deliver results. This person will also oversee event logistics, registration, pre-event communication and manage event technologies at external/internal/virtual events and meetings to ensure outstanding participant experiences.

Flagship Campaigns and Events

+ Project manage, execute, and measure campaigns and events working with manager, communicating with executive sponsors, and collaborating with marketing and shared services teams.

+ Work with sponsors to understand the strategy, develop the plan, draft the communications, and manage tactical event logistics, which may involve coordinating with venues, vendors and outside agencies

+ Assist with search, negotiations, contracting, site visits, service delivery and payment related to event locations, outside speakers and other supporting vendors

+ Work with executive sponsors, marketing leads and creative team to develop all event-related promotional materials, including theme, microsites, invitations, registration emails, cross-promotion with SDI (or other third parties) and Trustmark, giveaways, direct mailings, conference mobile apps (if applicable) and more.

+ Coordinate presentation development to ensure overall message/theme is consistent.

+ Use project management principles, marketing experience, and event management skills to create project plans, manage workflow, coordinate all aspects of campaign/event delivery, meet deadlines, execute event online/onsite, ensure a quality experience, collect feedback and continuously improve participant experiences and outcomes.

+ Serve as events subject matter expert and assist other areas of the business with events as needed.

+ Drive continuous improvement in the details, finding new ways of streamlining costs, reducing waste, saving time, and creating more value overall.

+ Brings new, creative ideas to the table; constantly researching best-practice events, and determining ways to increase satisfaction and engagement for event attendees

Broker Marketing Campaigns, Activities & Initiatives

+ Manage the development of content calendar in alignment with marketing and sales goals, ensuring impactful messaging to engage broker audience and drive sales activity

+ Oversee development of marketing campaign collateral, ensuring cohesiveness of messaging, effectiveness of tactics and optimal delivery across multiple channels including print, social, digital advertising and email

+ Report on campaign outcomes and, using campaign metrics, identify and ensure implementation of findings to optimize marketing efforts across email, social media and digital advertising

+ Research, review and evaluate digital event platforms to support broker marketing events (Webinars, Panels, etc.)

+ Gain expertise for the delivery of industry-leading virtual broker events via said platform(s) and maintain vendor relationships for ongoing support

+ Ongoing review and enhancement of VIP meeting experience: marketing interaction, entertainment, and in-office hospitality

+ Develop and manage pre- and post-VIP communication campaign to broker attendees to help maximize the event experience and support ongoing sales activity post-VIP

+ Evaluate, enhance, and maintain processes for intake of VIP requests

+ Support transition to Salesforce, serving as the marketing liaison, championing the development of dashboards and marketing journeys for these events

+ With Director of Broker marketing, support development of marketing operations improvements to streamline processes and enhance sales opportunities, including, but not limited to: Salesforce lead management, salesforce marketing cloud lead nurture campaigns, reporting on ROI from leads generate

Regional sales event support

+ Intake and management of requests for regional events attended by sales with the delivery of existing marketing collateral and event display materials

+ Develop any necessary collateral in support of events, including advertisements, pamphlets, signage, flyers, and brochures

+ Champion digital storefront to support promotional product distribution

+ Manage and maintain existing localized broker events and coordinate with sales team for the execution of said events, including scheduling, development of required collateral and coordination with vendors (Wine tastings, Lunch ’n Learns etc.).

+ Research new ideas for localized broker engagement and manage execution through the development of corresponding vendor relationships, internal processes, and creation of collateral to support regional events

+ Develop communication for internal rollout of regional broker programs

+ Support transition to Salesforce, serving as the marketing liaison, championing the development of dashboards and marketing journeys for these events

Financial/Budgets/Reporting

+ Work with Business Leader responsible for the event and legal to obtain contract approval. ·

+ Work with Business Leader and external vendors to calculate budgets and ensure they are adhered to. ·

+ Keep track of/maintain event finances, including check requests, invoicing, and reporting.

+ Keep Trustmark Business Leader responsible for the event apprised of the event/conference status.

+ Put analytics in place for microsites, mobile apps, etc., to help report out on the success of the event.

+ Work with finance to ensure financial closure for each event and submit all invoices in a timely manner.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

+ 7+ years of marketing, event planning, or project management experience (Must be event-related)

+ 2 years of management experience

+ Proficient and comfortable in virtual event platforms, such as a Bizzabo or Cvent

+ Skilled at anticipating project needs, prioritizing multiple deliverables, working with outside vendors and internal staff to successfully execute the event on time and within budget

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, social media, and other technology (e.g., project management tools, mobile app), as required

+ Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal staff and third-party vendors

+ Excellent writing skills, executive communication, and creative skills with heavy knowledge of promotional writing for microsites, direct mailers, HTMLs and promo giveaways.
