Job Description
Build and manage big data pipelines – work with Business Intelligence team leader to manage data lake platforms including data pipelines and overall data management and governance. Partner with Technology to craft, develop and deploy new interfaces to the lake.
Evaluate problems and develop optimal solutions covering all aspects of data management (Data pipelines, data collection, integrations, aggregations, metrics definitions, reporting and analytics). Design and deployment of event-based integration, APIs, ETL and change data capture that will ingest data from various systems and applications and help drive value of the data. Excellent in adhering to process and documentation for data and analytics architecture and ensure they are readily available upon request for review. Ability to work on competing priorities that are listed in the project management tool at a time with ability to quickly learn and incorporate new technologies. Implement database security based upon best practices, SOX regulations and company policies. Proactive monitoring of the databases. Implement statistical studies and data science models including predictive models and Artificial Intelligence (AI) /machine learning (ML) algorithms. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges through studies and conducting statistical modeling and exploratory analysis. Collaborate with engineering, product development, modeling, and analytics consulting teams. May telecommute.
Requires: Master’s degree in Data Science, Data & Analytics, Computer Science, or closely related field, or the foreign equivalent. Requires 3 years experience in the job offered, or closely related, and experience with the following (which may have been gained concurrently): SQL; Data engineering in cloud, using tools such as AWS – S3, EC2; Data Science; R; Python.
