DEXTER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
Dexter Magnetic Technologies offers a rewarding and structured internship program where interns will work on industry projects setting them on an accelerated career path. The purpose of a Dexter internship is to provide students with the opportunity to gain “real life” business acumen within the Magnetics Industry. Gain hands-on product experience while working on challenging projects, networking with professionals, and learning from some of the brightest minds in business.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN AN INTERNSHIP AT DEXTER?
• Work on projects that are related to your areas of interest and study with a high level of autonomy and ownership. These projects are designed to bring value to our business.
• Dexter will provide weekly trainings that will be delivered by our experienced business leaders to improve your business acumen.
• Interns will also be provided with personal development training and feedback.
• Our internship program is diverse across functions and the group of interns will be regularly interacting.
• Each intern is partnered with an experienced peer as a mentor.
• Interns are included in company events and receive paid holidays.
• Our interns who perform well are considered for future internship opportunities as well as full-time employment after graduation.
• Our interns will be expected to work onsite at our manufacturing facility throughout the summer to collaborate with team members and peers.
• Interns in the Summer of 2024 will experience our high-tech facility in Elk Grove Technology Park.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Position is responsible for the process development and continuous improvement of processes for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for new and existing products.
• Evaluates and troubleshoots process issues focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI) Metrics.
• Delivers manufacturing cost reduction and continuous improvement projects and collaborates with the cross-functional team to complete assigned projects on time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering and be an incoming Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Fall 2024
• Coursework in manufacturing or operations preferred
• Solidworks or 3D CAD Skills desirable
