The AGCO Acceleration Center in Champaign, IL is looking for an Data Engineering Intern . This role is vital in aligning with our Farmer First focus and goals, empowering the agricultural community with data-driven insights. Embracing our core values of innovation, collaboration, and integrity, this position plays a critical role in enhancing our data engineering capabilities. Interns will gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment that emphasizes growth, contributing directly to making data-backed decision processes more efficient for AGCO business, stakeholders, and product owners.
Your Impact
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, clean, and analyze complex datasets, focusing on the AgTech industry.
+ Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes utilizing Python, PySpark, SQL, and AWS services.
+ Utilize data analytics tools for data cleansing, processing, and transformation to optimize and enhance the quality of datasets.
+ Leverage AWS and other technologies to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and access across the organization.
+ Communicate effectively with AGCO business units, stakeholders, and product owners, facilitating data-backed decision-making.
+ Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
+ Continuously monitor, evaluate, and adjust data-driven solutions to align with the Farmer First focus and AGCO’s core values and objectives.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Required
+ Currently pursuing a degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred
+ Knowledge of Tableau for data visualization and AWS for data storage and processing.
+ Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, database management, and data analytics.
+ Expereince using Generative AI for data extraction and analysis.
+ Exposure to Azure Dev ops and Github.
+ Ability to understand and work with complex datasets and tools like Python and SQL.
+ Strong understanding of AgTech industry trends and how data analytics can drive insights within this field.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Solid problem-solving skills, with a passion for utilizing data to derive meaningful insights.
+ Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to present complex information to various stakeholders.
+ A proactive approach to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Your Workplace
+ This is a paid, full-time internship during the Summer of 2024 at AGCO Acceleration Center in Champaign, IL
+ Housing and relocation will not be provided.
+ Summer internships run from June 2024 through August 2024
