Job Description
Commercial Banking delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and seamless global capabilities to clients-including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, real estate investors and owners, and not-for-profit organizations-with annual revenue generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. We offer a comprehensive set of financial products and services including credit, asset-based lending, real estate finance and treasury and also provide clients with access to investment banking and asset management services.
As a Vice President of Financial Analysis within the Commercial Bank team, you will utilize your talent for story-telling with financial data, demonstrating your detail-oriented, organized, strategic, analytical, and energetic nature. This role offers a high-impact opportunity within our Finance & Business Management team, ensuring that senior management across the Commercial Bank has clear visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, and financials to achieve their strategic objectives. You will provide crucial support to senior Business and Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial Bank Finance, Business Management, Data & Analytics, and Project Management teams, facilitating effective end-to-end execution. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, forecasting and planning, with a particular focus on staffing models, expenses & headcount, and allocation processes.
Job responsibilities
+ Detail headcount tracking to ensure accurate Position Management/Requisition approvals and reconciliation against current budget and outlook
+ Partner with Middle Office leadership and Commercial Bank Finance & Business Management teams to generate monthly, annual, and multi-year forecast headcount and direct expenses
+ Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages
+ Conduct analysis and create executive level presentation using PowerPoint PitchPro+ Coordinate deliverables with business managers, finance, project managers and other Finance & Business Management teams
+ Analyze large amounts of data, assess KPI trends, and create impactful analysis to assist in developing strategy
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 6+ years of experience in financial data analysis and story-telling
+ Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees and stakeholders
+ Strong verbal and written presentation skills and ability to tell the story on financials and initiatives
+ Ability to produce successful results in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
+ Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret and present complex data
+ Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
+ Knowledge of or experience with Alteryx, BI tools, databases, and SQL Querying
