Summary of Role:

SunPower is seeking a Compensation Manager to join the Total Rewards team and act as the primary point of contact for compensation programs that support the company’s business strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Design, implement, communicate, maintain, and ensure compliance with compensation programs that align with the company’s Total Rewards philosophy and business objectives, and are externally competitive.

+ Conducts proactive competitive analysis and recommends program enhancements as necessary to align with total rewards market trends.

+ Participate in area and industry compensation surveys.

+ Conduct market research and partner with HRBPs, Recruiters, and SunPower leaders to make actionable recommendations on issues related to recruiting and candidate offers, as well as employee promotion, recognition, and retention.

+ Manage compensation processes, in alignment with our performance review process, which includes equity and cash budget modeling, merit and market increases, and market competitiveness review

+ Act as a subject matter expert and provide strategic consult to HR BPs recruiting team and leaders across SunPower on all things’ compensation.

+ Create, review, and manage incentive plans and other compensation-related documents and cycles.

+ Develop and deliver training and communications to ensure that leaders and employees have a good understanding of SunPower’s compensation philosophy and programs.

+ Ensure accurate and on-time output to Payroll.

+ Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate governance.

+ Reports to Sr. Director of Total Rewards

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field and 8+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs.

+ Strong understanding of broad-based compensation programs (base/bonus/equity), pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, job evaluation, etc.

+ Sales compensation design, implementation, and execution is a significant plus.

+ Experience with complex and global organizations.

+ Consultative approach to business partnership.

+ Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and excel skills.

+ Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances

+ Strong project management/organizational skills.

+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to communicate highly sensitive information effectively to employees and management at all levels of the company.

Please note the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and in the geographical location noted. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,520/year to $179,280/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package including annual bonus eligibility, short and long-term incentives, and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program which includes health insurance coverage, employee wellness, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, paid time off, and so much more.
