In this position…

The High Voltage Battery Product Development/Program Control Engineer is a central member of the HV Battery Program Control Team within the Electrified Propulsion Engineering Storage Systems organization. In this role, you will lead improvements to battery engineering processes, collaborate with high voltage battery engineering in the development of high voltage batteries, and ensure engineering deliverables are completed on-time and per process.

What you’ll do…

Lead, develop, and communicate improvements (streamline, simplify, automate) to high voltage battery engineering/development processes (deliverables and timing) and documentation, and program control tools, applications, and methods.

Be Single-Point-of Contact between Unit Battery team.

Lead and support collaboration between Battery Unit engineering team and cross-organizational stakeholders (Planning, Purchasing, Core Engineering, etc.)

Guide and coach battery engineers regarding engineering deliverables, timing, and use of program control tools.

Co-manage and communicate weekly updates to Battery Unit Program Health Chart

Drive quality improvements by ensuring on-time application of proper engineering requirements and use of Failure Mode Avoidance methods during the product development process.

Ensure development and alignment of overall unit timing in accordance with Ford standard timing templates.

Monitor upcoming deliverables ahead of due dates, identify timing/delivery issues, and drive development of resolution actions.

Support development of Unit Battery Milestone Papers with planning team.

You’ll have…

BS in an engineering field.

5+ years’ experience in engineering and program management of automotive components, systems, or vehicle programs.

Knowledge and experience with Ford’s product development system and program management tools/applications.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
