Job Description
Electrical Engineer
Our client is open to contract and direct hire candidates. Strong preference for Naperville, IL / Atlanta, GA / Ridgeland, MS area candidates. Remote candidates will also be considered. No C2C or visa sponsorship is possible. About the Job+ You will be working with a team of engineers across disciplines on client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant electrical systems for today’s leading energy providers.
+ Participates in the design, preparation and integration of major electrical power equipment.
+ Prepares engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.
+ Performs tests, researches problems through various sources of technical information.
+ Designs or modifies components and determines the intent of a specification /instruction.
+ Makes recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.
+ Provides support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects.
+ Occasional travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
+ 3 to 7 years of related practical work experience.
+ Prior nuclear experience highly desirable.
+ Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD Software.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
