Job Description
Job Title: Accountant
Schedule/Shift: M-F 8 to 5 Location: Chicago, Illinois 60607 Type: Contract (5 months) Hybrid Overview: As a pioneer in molecular diagnostic solutions, developing portable testing platforms for infectious diseases and oncology. They’re committed to shaping the future of personalized medicine and are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team, driving advancements in healthcare accessibility and patient care through innovative financial management. Responsibilities:+ Prepare journal entries and perform period-end general ledger close.
+ Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Prepare monthly flux analysis including cash.
+ Interface with customers on collection activity.
+ Assist in grant management, including compliance with terms and reporting.
+ File necessary regulatory filings, including 1099s, Sales and Use Tax Return.
+ Review the monthly variance analysis and make recommendations for resolution of issues.
+ Partner effectively with both internal and external business partners.
+ Assist with special projects, analysis, and other tasks as appropriate.
Qualification’s+ BS Accounting
+ 3-5 years of experience in accounting at a publicly traded company using Netsuite & concur.
+ CPA is not required but a plus.
+ Experience conducting end-of-year/quarterly audits.
+ Must be coming from a public traded company.
