Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the Accounting functions in areas such as A/P, A/R, month end and general accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform 3-way match for invoice processing
  • G/L Coding for invoices - P-Card Purchases not on a purchase order
  • Research on accounts receivable or accounts payable for customers or vendors
  • Reconcile Purchase Card report
  • Process Credit memos and application of unapplied payments
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and research/resolve outstanding issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements/Education/Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two year college; or equivalent in years of related experience or training
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Excellent communications skills, verbally and in writing with all levels within the company and vendors
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and math
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as new vendor forms, purchase orders, receiving documents, vendor statements and invoices, credit applications, and SOX documents
  • Strong ability and skill to follow-up, attention to detail and organization
