Job Description

Cabrera Capital Markets is seeking a Programming Analyst to join a dynamic team of professionals and be responsible for the development and maintenance of software applications for the firm’s financial operations. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing team of seasoned financial professionals who are passionate about providing superior client service and value. This role entails working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous learning and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain software applications in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

+ Collaborate with cross-functional departments to create and implement innovative solutions

+ Manage and organize large datasets to facilitate efficient data processing

+ Support the firm’s information technology infrastructure by maintaining existing applications and systems

+ Analyze system and program requirements for complex projects. Identifies multiple solutions to complex problems

+ Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to automate and streamline operational workflow internally

+ Participate in coding, testing, and debugging of new and existing software to ensure smooth deployment

+ Document software development processes and procedures to ensure continuity and consistency

+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology

+ All other duties as assigned

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline, computer science, information systems, or a related field of study

+ 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on finance

+ Strong proficiency with Python programming language and a familiarity with SQL and relational databases

+ Must have excellent Excel capabilities (i.e. – VBA/Macros)

+ Experience with data cleansing, transformation and preparation

+ Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task

+ Ability to work independently

+ Knowledge of financial markets and trading systems is preferred

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
