IT SENIOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST – PROCURE-TO-PAY (PTP) | Abbott Laboratories / Waukegan, IL

Provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes for SAP Procure-to-Pay (PTP). Responsible for SAP project management and handling transformation, process governance, functionality assessment, and product evaluationsfor various size projects and system changes. Oversee and directly contribute to development and implementation of cost-effective solutions.  Partner with the functional groups to assess business needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities and document clear requirements. Responsible for business process definition, process mapping, product consulting, and designing and building optimized architecture. Conduct investigations and collaborate with other technical subject matter experts to provide technical advice on adoption or integration of new technologies and corresponding business impact. Define and apply technology architecture roadmap for digital transformation or strategic investment initiatives to launch next generation source-to-pay processes using a range of tools and technologies. Develop alternative technical solutions and advise on options, risks, costs, and benefits, and impacts on other business processes and system priorities. Serve as an SAP functional configuration expert to develop, test and implement significant new solutions in SAP Source2Pay and/or SAP Procure-To-Pay (PTP). Work within and implement solutions in SAP ECC Core, SAP S4/HANA, SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), SAP Master Data Management (MDM), SAP Ariba, SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and SAP E-Sourcing and Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM). Configure applicable module(s) to design optimal solutions. Review, validate and enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products. Evaluate SAP notes, new functionality, and upcoming releases for assigned modules. Recommend operational improvements or devise new approaches to technical or process issues to meet business objectives. Develop, motivate, and provide direction to technical team in a way that facilitates the creation of a team environment and enables team to fulfill the department’s operation objectives. Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc. Comply with all applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, Business Administration or in a closely related field of study with at least 5 years of progressive professional information technology, computer science, or computer engineering experience in: (i) business process development, product consulting, and designing and building optimized architecture; (ii) SAP project management and handling transformation, process governance, functionality assessment, and product evaluations; (iii) SAP Source2Pay or SAP Procure-To-Pay (PTP),  SAP ECC Core, SAP S4/HANA, SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), SAP Master Data Management (MDM), SAP Ariba, SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and SAP E-Sourcing and Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM).
