We have an exciting opportunity for the position of New Vehicle Director, North America to drive the decarbonization strategy towards zero emission vehicles.

Job Description

The New Vehicle Director, North America will be responsible for owning and driving the agenda for the decarbonisation of the fleet. Working closely with Operations, business development and the global supply chain team you will coordinate the zero emission transition for all aspects of vehicles and supporting infrastructure.

The development of key stakeholder relationships throughout the organization will be critical to implement effective fleet migration strategies. This position will be responsible for building strong cross-functional partnerships that align shared business objectives to increase total value to end customers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

+ Manage the development and execution of multiple zero emission vehicle projects in compliance with the Group safety standards

+ Secure grant opportunities with awarding authorities to accelerate the introduction of zero emission vehicles

+ Develop relationships with vehicle suppliers to develop product offers to meet customer requirements and create a portfolio of suitable product.

+ Work with internal customers to document their requirements and set standards for EV introduction, irrespective of site size and location

+ Evaluate and select infrastructure partners that are capable of providing consistent charging performance at optimum cost

+ Liaise with the Purchasing team to source electricity at optimum cost

+ Be the point of contact for EV and Zero Emission matters within the NA Management Team and support the Business Development team to develop and follow through leads and contract management activity

+ Coordinate a multi-discipline team across commercial, supply chain, operations, property, engineering etc

+ Brief senior stakeholders to ensure the smooth zero emission solutions supporting delivery of the strategic goals of the business

+ Work closely with the zero emission team across the Group (primarily Europe and United Kingdom) to share best practice and maximize leverage

+ Engage and motivate business partners to align on shared objectives

+ Be a catalyst for change and break-through solutions

Qualifications

Position Requirements Include:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

+ Industry/sector certification a plus, but not essential

+ 5-10 years experience in fleet management roles within a large corporate environment

+ Background in zero emission fleet introduction

+ Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership

+ Excellent negotiation skills and capable of interfacing with senior staff

+ Excellent verbal, active listening, and written communication skills

+ Strong understanding of the needs of internal customers / business partners is critical

+ Highly motivated and self-directed with a strong attention to detail
