The HR Recruiter will provide daily HR support, including recruitment, employee relations and performance management support to all salaried and hourly Chicago Plant employees. In addition, the HR Recruiter will partner with managers by planning and executing strategic HR initiatives that support the business. This position reports to the Manager of Human Resources.

Essential Functions

Lead staffing initiatives for Headquarters Group and provide support to all field HR Managers in their staffing activities.

Develop job descriptions for new positions and recommend placement in compensation plan.

Originate and track headcount and requisitions.

Consult with line managers to develop an accurate plan of resourcing requirements and conduct staffing initiatives in an efficient and effective manner.

Manages Affirmative Action plans across the company.

Advise and consult with managers, supervisors and staff on employee relation matters (ie: coaching, counseling, corrective action).

Provide insight and support to managers in the performance management processes.

Maintain applicant tracking and affirmative action plans and prepare necessary documentation for EEOC, Vet 1 and AAP submissions

Conduct full cycle recruitment for exempt, non-exempt and temporary positions including phone screens, interviews, conducting pre-employment testing as well as overseeing pre-employment

Assist with employment separations and conduct exit interviews.

Other duties assigned by HR Manager.
