In this role, you will define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategies for products in US, meeting business targets and aligning with global product strategy.
Accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the ABB AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current) Drive Modules and DC Cabinet and panel products in the US domestic and applicable export markets by developing and managing it throughout their life cycle phases, according to market needs and Division strategy and targets within Motion Business area in New Berlin, Wisconsin or other locations within the US.This is a position with global grade

Head of Product ManagementYour responsibilities

Owns the technical and market specifications for the product and determines a product business plan that supports sustainable growth. Leads life cycle management process for the US market, planning appropriate measures (example: enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs)
Collaborates with internal Marketing and Sales teams to define the marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, product value propositions, and product positioning, as well as training activities and sales initiatives
Leads market intelligence analysis, collaborating with Sales, Business Development, and SMEs to define forecast and product planning. Defines and understands the US market segmentation and related product/system/service positioning. Identifies potential gaps in the portfolio and new market/segment/application opportunities
Responsible for product profitability and margin. Owns both sales and factory FCMs (when applicable) to ensure profitability and maintain competitive market pricing. Provides the Pricing teams, sales support, and inside sales with updated pricing and is responsible for ensuring profitability in special sales deals
Collaborates with BDMs and Sales in positioning ABB Drive Modules with new and existing System Integrators, Panel Builders, and OEM's by providing technical and marketing product collateral documentation, access, and understanding of knowledge portals, training, and product value proposition
Monitors product management processes and tools, that interface with other key functions such as Sales, Sales Support, Tendering, and Pricing teams. Provides updates and training modules
Monitors and identifies the development of local market trends for standards and compliances, updating the Global Product management team on possible development needs
Collaborates with Motion Services for customer product training in ABB University, keeping them updated with new product launches, features and certifications that are availableYour background

Bachelor degree (electronics or electrical engineering preferred) with 3 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or product management or Associate degree with 5 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or product management or High School/GED with 7 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or product management required
5 plus years of sales management experience highly preferred
In-depth knowledge of drives markets and applications is highly preferred
Experience in drives or power electronics integrations is highly preferred
Up to 30% travel required
Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USABenefits
