RLI Insurance Company seeks Sr. QA Engineer in Peoria, IL.

Duties: Perform quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Assists in the standardization of test automation processes across multiple IT teams. Builds a robust and scalable automation framework to support current and future technology stack. Assists in selection and standardization of QA automation tools and test environment and test data management efforts. Understands and applies best practices. Serves as a technical SME to junior automation engineers and product team members. Trains and mentors quality assurance staff in QA automation processes, frameworks, coding, tools and acquiring relevant automation expertise and domain knowledge, as needed. Evaluates automation needs and designs and executes automated scripts to ensure end-to-end test coverage. Designs and implements efficient automation practices for end-to-end test coverage. Assists in the creation of a dedicated test environment and test data management practices for automation and performance testing. Prepares and maintains complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows for automation. Integrates automation to the CI/CD pipeline and operationalizes automated smoke tests and daily automated runs to product releases. Collects and reports automation results and metrics and assists in tracking automation ROI. Estimates automated testing effort levels for projects and tasks assigned. Stays abreast of emerging trends and best practices in QA automation. Assists in mentoring and coaching junior automation engineers and other IT teams implementing QA automation best practices.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field plus 5 years of experience in related occupations. Requires 5 years of experience with: Developing scalable automation testing framework; Design and implementation of End-to-end manual and automation test coverage with unit, integration, and UAT; Performance Testing Design and Execution. Automation best practices within P&C Insurance domain; SDLC, Project Management and Agile methodologies. Telecommuting is permitted.
