Job Description

ZS Associates, Inc. is hiring a Business Technology Solutions Manager (ref. Code 017331.000735) in Evanston, IL.

Duties: Manage and provide guidance to technical junior team members in managing medium- and large-scale IT projects; coordinate with Project Leadership to define the IT project scope and strategies, using ability to understand business issue, select the appropriate IT tools and ZS software/functionalities, and develop IT strategies using project management tools; manage multiple IT projects by leveraging experience in project management activities and ensure that high-quality project deliverables are completed with an appropriate level of analytical rigor and are delivered on time and within budget, using expertise in front-end user reporting (i.e., MSTR, Tableau, Business Objects, or Cognos), back-end database management (i.e., Oracle or Teradata or AWS), and/or ETL interfacing technologies (i.e., AWS glue, Informatica or SSIS); lead the execution of key assignments, including directing all communications with clients and team members to understand objectives and technical requirements/features, create deliverables, and communicate findings, using ability to understand BI solution designs and implementations using technologies such as Microstrategy, QlikView, Cognos, Oracle, Informatica, and/or SSIS, etc.; manage the design and execution of IT and quantitative and qualitative analyses to understand and address key project issues; lead feasibility analysis, select the technologies that provide the optimal solution, and identify ZS’s proprietary products available that will best fit the solution proposed; leverage experience in IT project management activities, including project planning/estimation, scoping/requirements through implementation, and quality assurance within timelines and budgets; manage delivery dates, resourcing, and scheduling while identifying and mitigating IT project and client-level risks; lead business and strategy development meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are met; conduct team status meetings to coordinate subprojects and tasks across technical team members while ensuring the quality of all project deliverables; ensure that all solutions are designed appropriately by taking advantage of existing assets while maintaining a balance between architecture requirements and specific client needs; develop and manage client relationships on multiple projects and identify opportunities to contribute to the selling of additional solutions delivery work; facilitate collaboration with other team members involved in the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, rollout and operations phases, to ensure seamless transitions; ensure that all projects are appropriately staffed and that team members are productively engaged at all times by continuously evaluating staffing needs, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring technical team members; and mentor subordinates and provide developmental opportunities for team members, including conducting performance summaries, coaching subordinates on project management and professional goals, training on ZS’s proprietary software, and providing guidance to reports on client presentations. Domestic/international travel required based on company/client need.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience in technology solution delivery engagements/projects or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience in technology solution delivery engagements/projects.
