Summary of Objective:
The Security Specialist Lead is responsible for Security issues at all of PCI's sites in Rockford. This position is the main point of contact and administrator of all company security activities. This includes assessing security needs, developing plans and budgets and overseeing electronic systems and physical security for facilities and parking lots across all packaging facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
Develops and maintains company Security SOP's and Work Practices. Communicates and provides training on same to others. Consults with company leadership to determine corporation and customer security needs. Recommends equipment and services and develops plans and budgets to provide needed security systems and services. Maintains records or and insures maintenance of all electronic systems. Supervises the contract security guard service. Coordinates guard training and job responsibilities and maintains needed level of performance. Represents the company for security system and physical security issues with the DEA; coordinates DEA issues with PCI Regulatory Affairs department. Maintains an appropriate relationship and communications with the Rockford Police Department, along with the Illinois State Police Cargo Theft Unit and the Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC) as needed Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
