Job Description:

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Manager, you will define and enhance credit risk oversight processes in support of – and under the oversight of – overall corporate risk management framework and system. You will manage a team that evaluates consumer credit risks and the company’s lending practices; evaluate and monitor consumer credit risk appetite, tolerance, and thresholds; define the process for monitoring the performance of the consumer credit portfolio; perform reviews of credit risk strategies. Additionally, you will develop and coach teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.

This position offers a unique opportunity to conduct oversight of consumer credit risks of all consumer lending products within the 2nd line of defense and to support sustainable growth and drive a risk aware culture across functions. You will be responsible for developing, applying, and enhancing credit risk oversight processes in support of the overall Corporate Risk Management framework and systems.

How You’ll Do It

+ Develops, manages, and maintains reports and oversight of consumer credit risk appetite, tolerance, and thresholds.

+ Develops, implements, and maintains processes for targeted review of credit strategies. Collaborates with credit strategy teams to mitigate identified credit risk concerns. Reports finds in line with established governance processes.

+ Develops and maintains credit risk oversight processes, policies, and procedures.

+ Presents analytical findings and portfolio risk ranking to management.

+ Implements and maintains credit risk portfolio reporting.

+ Provides constructive feedback, coaching, and training to team members.

+ Reports findings to leadership.

+ Develops appropriate approach to ensure a comprehensive and accurate view in assessing credit quality and impact on credit performance.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

+ Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related field

+ 8+ years of experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline, or equivalent internship or research experience

+ In lieu of a Master’s degree, 10+ years of experience in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or any related field with relevant modeling/analytical experience, including a Bachelor’s Degree

Bonus Points If You Have

+ Ph. D. in Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related field

+ 10+ years of experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline, or equivalent internship or research experience

+ Coaching, mentoring or people management experience

+ Experience with credit portfolio management and review, credit risk management and oversight, etc.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
