Job Description
The Data and Analytics Vice President will gather and analyze relevant sales, financial and other product specific data, work with end-users to develop information delivery solutions, and apply advanced analytic methods to help drive strategic business goals.
Job responsibilities
+ Lead and develop small team of direct reports continuously challenging them to expand and apply their skills in line with team’s goals.
+ Partner with our product groups to build understanding of business drivers and underlying data.
+ Collaborate with business owners to formulate quantifiable goals; advise on strategies and experimentation to achieve business goals.
+ Leverage a variety of analytical applications (SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.) to describe, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
+ Produce reporting (using strategic and tactical solutions) to be leveraged by all levels within CIB and its client segments.
+ Identify opportunities and lead projects for the application of predictive analytics and machine learning.
+ Identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions through use of data.
Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ BS degree in a quantitative or related field
+ 10+ years of experience in Analytics (data management, predictive modeling, segmentation, deep dives, etc.)
+ Robust analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
+ Prior management experience
+ Expertise in SQL
+ Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills
+ Structured thinker and effective storyteller that can present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way
+ Experience in creating Power Point decks and presenting to senior management
+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform at high standards with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Experience in the Financial industry
+ Strong knowledge of Python
+ Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or Qlik Sense
