Job Description

Responsible for providing Project Management services for the development, design, construction and activation of UC Medicine projects for the Facilities, Planning, Design and Construction Department; execute a highly effective project delivery process for construction projects including the development of project scope and budget, solicitation of consultant/contractor bids, monitoring construction progress, maintaining financial records and turnover of project documentation; facilitate each project in collaborative process with planners, facilities operations and clinical sponsors; provide on-site supervision of construction phases by chairing owner-architect-contractor progress meetings to ensure the project is completed in a manner consistent with the contract documents and intended scope; draft proposal requests for vendors, consultants and contractors; utilize and apply knowledge of STAADPro, MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, e-Builder, Primavera P6, Project Action Logs, project site-review procedures, OSHA requirements, and construction project planning, design, bidding, estimating and scheduling activities to perform duties; manage contract and award processes; provide oversight to all project delivery activities, including support during planning and activation phases; manage a matrixed organization for successful project delivery; coordinate with Plant, IT Services, Clinical Engineering, and other Clinical Leadership, to complete projects; manage resources external to the enterprise including contracted designers, builders, skilled trades and other professional service providers or vendors; continually monitor outside influences including regulatory agencies, as well as market and technology changes, that support or hinder the efficiently accomplishment of department processes and procedures; provide project controls by updating ledger software to monitor invoice and expenses; manage and update project schedules within identified software; manage and document project issues and risks; provide change management by documenting alterations to project plan and maintaining up to date change logs; report variance according to developed plan; and manage multiple projects simultaneously, understanding interdependencies and constrained resources.

Salary: $118,398 per year (standard benefits apply)

Education: Bachelors – Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

 

Training: None

 

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as an Associate Construction Project Manager, as an Associate Project Manager, as a Project Manager, or in a related occupation;

 

Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) year use of all the following: STAADPro, MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, e-Builder, Primavera P6, Project Action Logs, project site-review procedures, OSHA requirements, and construction project planning, design, bidding, estimating and scheduling activities.
