Job Description

Overview

Responsible for financial analysis, benchmarking initiatives, new and existing program evaluation, and business plan development using financial and data analysis techniques and tools.
Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the completion of the capital and operating budgets. This may include financial analysis of changes in reimbursement, revenue per unit of service, other pricing changes, or expenses.
Prepare key financial analysis: benchmark reporting and studies, product line reporting, financial projections, profitability analysis, payor analysis, business plans, pricing analysis, physician compensation and cost center reporting.
Knowledge of the Chargemaster including revenue, billing concepts, and statistical reporting.
Train leadership on financial systems as well as financial topics. Serves as resource to interpret financial data.
Establish and maintain various databases, ensure the integrity of the data, and be able to interpret the financial data or results.(Knowledge of Access, Crystal reporting, and SQL a plus)
Communicate effectively with leadership on financial results, analysis, or reporting and assist with operational improvements.
Develop and maintain financial models and templates to be distributed system-wide to ensure quality and consistency.
Maintain the cost accounting system used in decision support. This includes working with leadership to establish overhead allocations, RVUs, and reclass/adjustments.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 3 years of financial management or healthcare experience or an Associate's degree with 15 years of experience and 5 years of healthcare experience.

Certification and Licensure
CPA preferred

Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement programs, coding, and billing preferred.
