Job Description
Manager, Software Engineering (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services LLC, Chicago, IL. Build software and design data platforms, manage large volumes of client data, develop compliance procedures for data management, and continually research new technologies to drive innovation and sustainable change. Focus on cloud solution engineering and automation, with a focus on applications and data. Employ knowledge of application and microservice architectures, integration patterns, and data engineering aspects using cloud technologies. Coach and supervise teams. Maintain client relationships.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelors progressive, related work experience.
In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
- Utilizing at least of one the following software development languages, platforms, and/or tools: Java 8 or Python design and development; Application frameworks such as Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud; or Database design, creation, manipulation, and query of Relational, and NoSQL datastores;
- Designing and developing large-scale distributed data processing systems/applications or large-scale internet systems utilizing Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript, or related software development language;
- Working with Agile Methodologies and developing code using object-oriented design, implementation, and maturation to take advantage of the language feature sets; and
- Creating Web User Interface (Ul) with the use of recent javascript libraries like HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.
Travel requirement(s): Domestic and/or international travel up to 80% required.
