Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: Assume the responsibilities for direct care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider in patient care departments. Provides nursing services to patient and families in accordance with the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Will assume duties of caring for the elderly population in the Extended Care Wing. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS College Diploma in Related Field CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Illinois upon hire and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Previous work with the elderly population is preferred. Essential Functions:

+ Pass medications

+ Complete wound treatments

+ Oversee CNA’s

+ Interact professionally with providers

+ Request orders when necessary and carry them out

+ Communicate well with families

+ Carry out orders as needed for residents

+ Ensure medications received for residents from the Apothecary Shoppe

+ Ensure orders are placed in EPIC correctly for outpatient labs and medications
