Job Description
Manager, Risk Modeling Services (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Chicago, IL. Help clients with actuarial modernization, process improvement, risk and capital management, deals, and financial reporting. Participate in project planning, administration, and economics. Applying technical expertise with actuarial process improvement, risk and capital management, value analyses, and financial reporting standards. Managing engagements, including preparing concise, accurate documents and maintaining project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues. Establish and maintain client relationships. Coach and supervise professional teams.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s related work experience.
In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
Certification(s) Required: Fellow/Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
- Performing quantitative and qualitative valuation-related analyses and modeling, utilizing any one or more of the following: Excel VBA, Matlab, Bloomberg, or Fincad;
- Performing computations and applying methods of numerical analysis to data;
- Applying mathematical theories and techniques to the solution of practical problems in the insurance industry; and
- Developing computational methods for solving problems that come from applications in the insurance industry.
80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.
Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% is required.
