Job Description
- Direct internal financial processes, monitor costs, sales, spending and budgets, identify past trends, and predict future needs
- Analyze complex financial data and make forecasts, budgets, performance measurements and plans, and present reports to senior management to assist in its operational decision making
- Provide monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to aid business planning
- Prepare cost-benefit analysis and work on cost-reduction projects
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and analyses, and maintain supporting documentation
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, analyze and manage risks, arrange funding and financing of operations, and monitor and enforce compliance
- Control and forecast income and expenditure
- Create and maintain Company's financial system and supervise bookkeeping functions and personnel
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and systems
- Oversee weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual payroll, sales, fuel, and excise taxes
- Oversee preparation and processing of weekly payroll for drivers and other personnel
- Train and oversee support personnel
- Meet with new staff members to complete W-4 or W-9 and I-9 Forms, explain benefits and deductions, assist with wage verification documents, etc.
- Keep the staff informed about proper individual tax filings
