Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Description

Description We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Cicero, Illinois. This role will involve a range of responsibilities, from issuing payments to vendors, to preparing annual reports and tax filings, to managing accounts payable and new employee set up.

Responsibilities:

- Issue checks and ACH payments to vendors in a timely manner

- Carry out regular account reconciliations for all banking and credit card accounts

- Enter and manage the recording of financial transactions to various journals and the general ledger

- Maintain and manage accounts payable journals, ensuring optimization of cash flow while adhering to vendor terms and conditions

- Prepare annual reports and tax filings, excluding personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns

- Prepare and process weekly payroll, compile payroll documents, and act as the primary liaison with payroll service provider

- Develop and maintain reports for the management team and the owner, providing analysis as requested

- Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Act as a point of contact for local, state, and federal governmental agencies, addressing needs as they arise

- Maintain accounts for all utilities, including electrical, telephone, internet, garbage and others as assigned

- Manage new employee set up, including onboarding and collection of all required documents and terminations

- Ensure HR compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and ensure that HR policies are consistently applied

- Record and monitor annual PTO, Health, and other Benefits

- Perform workers’ comp audits as scheduled

- Manage cash flows and track expenses. Requirements – Proficiency in Spanish language

- Expertise in using QuickBooks for financial management

- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document management

- Experience in preparing Consolidated Financial Statements

- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements

- Ability to manage all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping for a company

- Experience in managing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and tax payments

- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and take full charge of financial operations.
