Job Description
Promise Healthcare NFP seeks a Dentist in Champaign, IL and Urbana, IL. Duties: Play a key role providing quality dental care at Promise Healthcare. The prime focus will be examining, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for infections and injuries of the teeth and mouth. The person in this position must have an interest in delivering care in a community health center and/or mobile dental program, and a passion for creating a dental home for those underserved for dental care. Clinic sites are Federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA)s and eligible for State of IL and National Health Service Corps Loan repayment. Relocation assistance provided.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide general and comprehensive dentistry services to children and adults.
- Assist with the development, of clinical dental policies and procedures
- Diagnose and evaluate dental conditions and maintaining accurate dental records to support diagnose/evaluation
- Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases
- Provide restorations and other treatment as needed
- Perform emergency procedures on patients to reduce or eliminate pain
- Assess treatment options and agree on treatment plan with patients
- Instruct/educate patients in oral hygiene and dental care
- Assist with the development and implementation of Dental Quality Assurance
- Assist with training and evaluating assigned dental staff
- Educates individuals in the nature of oral health-related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health-related disease prevention.
- Expected to consistently work to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: Ph.D. in Dental Medicine or related. This position also requires Illinois Dentist license. Full-time.
