Position:Technical Recruiter
Position Summary:
Our organization is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter, with a positive outlook, willingness, and ability to work with and help others to join our recruiting team. The Technical Recruiter will use their personable approach to be the initial contact to prospective employees - sharing our unique culture. They will also use their technical knowledge and experience to recruit and place qualified candidates by locating, pre-screening, and interviewing potential candidates; perform reference checks and evaluate job skills as required to select qualified candidates to fulfill client's job requisitions. This role requires filling staff requirements for defense and federal contract positions, which may be immediate with short turnaround times.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to proactively identify top-level talent through a variety of sourcing/recruiting techniques. This professional will ensure impeccable recruitment execution to achieve a seamless candidate and client recruitment experience.
Clearance Requirement:Ability to pass a complete background check, to possibly include a credit check.
Salary: The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies qualified defense and federal IT professionals to support our customer's missions through a high volume of sourcing, emails, calls, and creativity with recruiting resources.
Assists with the company's overall recruiting efforts, which include on-site recruiting, internet recruiting, working with temporary agencies, and employee referrals.
Posts jobs online, screens, organizes and tracks all applications and resumes within the company's applicant tracking tool.
Coordinates and conducts interviews with hiring managers.
Coordinates with temporary agencies to staff open positions.
Understand the company's policies and benefits, as well as be representative of the culture.
Proactively research and evaluate new sourcing ideas and methods to create innovative sourcing strategies.
Recruits and places qualified candidates by locating, pre-screening, and interviewing potential candidates; performs reference checks and evaluates job skills as required to select qualified candidates to fulfill client's job requisitions.
Ensure new hires feel welcome and have a clear understanding of onboarding requirements to both the contract (as applicable), as well as the company.
Must exhibit diplomacy and consideration towards all people; acts as the liaison between contract personnel and hiring managers.
Sources and recruits new candidates by making cold calls, attending job fairs, networking within companies, and utilizing the Internet to locate and maintain a pool of qualified candidates for assignments.
Conducts in-person and/or phone interviews; qualifies technical professionals for skill, proficiency, and suitability; completes reference and background checks for potential candidates.
Selects qualified candidates for submission to management in response to their job requisitions.
Creates and updates candidate database for current and future job opportunities.
Performs administrative duties; composes routine correspondence.

Education and Certification Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Background and Experience:
Experience in federal and defense contract recruiting is a plus, including recruiting highly technical roles that often require personnel with clearances.
A minimum of 2-5 years experience in IT recruiting is strongly preferred.
Expertise in the core principles, practices, and procedures related to recruiting and staffing.
Experience with contract negotiations.
Required Technical Skills:
Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word)
Experience using applicant tracking systems.
Experience using various resume sourcing platforms (Dice, Clearance Jobs, Monster, LinkedIn, etc.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible
Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
