IT Director Position Summary: The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s information technology infrastructure and operations. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth delivery of IT services, develop and implement IT strategies, manage the IT budget, and lead the IT team to support the organization’s goals and objectives. Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the IT department, including infrastructure, systems, and staff, to ensure efficient and effective operation.

+ Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization’s objectives, focusing on infrastructure, security, and communication systems.

+ Monitor and manage the performance of IT systems to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

+ Manage the IT department’s annual budget, including forecasting, allocation, and tracking of expenses.

+ Collaborate with executive leadership to identify business needs and leverage technology to optimize operations.

+ Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards for system selection, implementation, and support.

+ Provide leadership, direction, and training to the IT staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.

+ Lead the transition from the current Avaya office telephone system to Microsoft Teams for enhanced communication and collaboration.

+ Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and ensure the company’s IT infrastructure remains competitive.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

+ A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with a proven track record of managing technology teams and overseeing large IT projects.

+ Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and telecommunications.

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to make informed decisions, guide teams, and manage projects effectively.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with teams across the organization.

+ Proficient in project management principles and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

+ Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, including developing and implementing security policies, managing security tools, and responding to security incidents.

Technical Expertise:

+ Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Windows Server administration.

+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including group policies, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure), SharePoint, and Teams.

+ Proficiency with Cisco IOS network devices, Palo Alto NGFW, and general network administration, including configuring and administering IPSec VPNs.

+ Experience with VoIP telephone systems, preferably Avaya, and transitioning to cloud-based communication platforms like Microsoft Teams.

+ Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies, with experience in managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and conducting vulnerability assessments.
