Acara Solutions has an opening for Transportation and Customs Coordinator for Alstom Transportation in Naperville, IL.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
To Support the Transportation & Customs manager as well as Services sites in keeping shipping moving smoothly and efficiently. Must be able to identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analysis information skillfully. Also, must work well with vendors and customers in problem solving situations. This position supports the following Alstom sites, New Castle, DE, Boston, MA, Long Island City, NY, Washington, DC, Naperville, IL, Vallejo, CA (other small customer sites in the Services division)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate daily domestic and international shipments for the Services division in a timely manner.
Post daily reports from carriers on the Transportation & Customs SharePoint site
Review weekly report from audit/pay company for project coding and submit the reports to finance department.
Provide monthly project reports for transportation spend.
Daily correspondence with vendors, shippers, receivers to problem solve.
Correspond with domestic carriers on daily shipments.
Work with overseas vendors to assist with setting up shipments to Alstom locations.
Work with customs brokers on shipments that are held by customs for compliance & paperwork issues.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
3 to 5 yrs. experience in the related field.
