About the role
+ As Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Clerk, you will execute and manage inbound and outbound shipments at the headquarters location in Skokie, IL., including loading and unloading freight, picking up, receiving, and shipping orders. Work within the existing Supply Chain team structure while adhering to the existing process in place. Communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
+ For shipping, you will be responsible for handling and packing complex air, ground, and ocean shipments, including the shipment of equipment and chemicals, following applicable regulations.
+ Receiving responsibilities include verifying delivered items, processing daily receipts, and ensuring items are stored correctly. Handle receipt and disposition of materials and inventory with internal teams, contractors, and vendors. Assist with shipping and receiving, inventory fill, and cycle counting.
This is a temporary position with an end-date of 5/10/2024.
Key duties
+ Responsible for accurate and timely processing of all outgoing international and domestic shipments, including pick, pack, label, and ship. Execute shipment bookings with freight forwarders and act as a liaison for timely processing and communication with all necessary parties.
+ Pick, Pack, and Ship all materials in compliance with all domestic and international regulations.
+ Maintain daily shipment status updates, including communication, record-keeping, filing, and calling for information.
+ Should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail.
+ Receive and deliver all products entering the building.
+ Comparing purchase orders with packaging lists.
+ Process daily receipts and provide associated administrative follow-up.
+ Handle vendor returns, discrepancies, Over, short & Damaged goods, and logistics in accordance with company policy and procedures.
+ Maintain inventory integrity, enabling transactional and logistics execution and inventory and purchasing activity reporting.
+ Warehouse work, receiving, labeling, and handling materials and chemicals.
+ Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
+ Have a desire to excel, learn, and grow in Supply Chain knowledge.
Required Qualifications
+ Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interface with suppliers, customers, and internal personnel.
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in inventory, packing, shipping/receiving processes and working in a warehouse environment.
+ Detail-oriented and the ability to self-manage time and priorities.
+ Must have experience with ERPs such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or others.
+ Must be proficient in working with computers, typing, and working with Microsoft Office suite products such as Team, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
+ Familiar with shipping and receiving software.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills
+ Able to perform manual processes, such as unpacking and packing boxes and loading and unloading trucks.
+ Able to lift 50 pounds.
+ The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
+ BA/BS in business, purchasing, or logistics a plus.
+ Hazmat certified a plus.
+ Forklift certified a plus.
Work Conditions:
+ Lifting and carrying boxes/packages up to 50lbs
+ Walking or standing for long periods of time.
+ Interior and exterior exposure
+ The site is/has hazardous gas and chemicals under proper care and protection.
+ This is an onsite position.
