JOB SUMMARY

The controller is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and ensuring its financial integrity. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and compliance functions. The controller maintains accurate financial records, provides financial insights to support decision-making, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Job duties include:

• Establish and maintain an internal control system to ensure that all financial transactions are accurate, complete, and timely
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger
• Develop and analyze financial information to assess current and future financial performance
• Manage cash flow and banking activities
• Prepare and review budgets and forecasts
• Develop and implement financial strategies to reduce costs and maximize profits
• Monitor investments, taxes, and compliance with laws and regulations
• Analyze financial statements to identify areas of improvement
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee and review annual audits
• Train and mentor accounting staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5-7 years of experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role
• Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Ability to analyze financial data and create financial reports
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and auditors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team of accountant
• CPA preferred
