Job Description
JPMorgan Chase & Co. has an opening for a Product Manager in Chicago, IL. This position requires up to 25% domestic travel. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
DUTIES: Manage the transformation of “Payments Experience” across products such as APIs, Authorization, Capture, Token services, for Core and Alternate payment instruments. Work closely with the payment brands and other suppliers of payment instruments to create and maintain a leadership position for JPMorgan payment services. Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, product requirements, epics, and stories to support agile scrum teams. Manage the product roadmap that balances stakeholder inputs and MVP releases. Design a product architecture that reduces time-to-market for new features, simplifies internal and external dependencies, and scales to a global environment. Prioritize the product backlog based on client demand, business cases, product KPI, strategic business goals (customer R&D, competitive, market). Identify potential roadblocks and develop recommendations for delivery issues, change requests, pre-release testing, and production issues. Monitor product performance with reports and dashboards, and periodic stakeholder reviews. Monitor industry assessment that provides detailed insights into the competitive landscape and best practices. Partner with teams (product, design, technology, risk, legal, compliance, ops, marketing, sales...) to manage prioritization, resourcing, controls, readiness, and go-to market plans. Deliver core and value-added payment processing features across payment instruments. Partner with 3rd party vendors / alliances to enhance product offering. Use customer experience and client feedback to improve product.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Product Manager, Software Engineer, Project Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Product Manager, Software Engineer, Project Engineer, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: product management or platform transformation for payments; modern technology stacks, including UI frameworks, API’s, microservices, big data, and cloud; payments including acquiring, acceptance, payment processing and digital payments; managing new product launches, transformations of mission-critical payment platforms; Java; and managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle (PDLC) for complex, large-scale initiatives.
