In our Youth and Family Services, we help parents and young people who are striving to become healthy and restore their relationships. We work in partnership with human services, child welfare systems, juvenile courts, and community-based service providers so that together we can help individuals and families obtain the services and skills they need to live in positive, healthy ways.

We are currently looking for full-time – Program Assistant

Starting at $36,367 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.


Summary: This position will assist with the coordination of services for client care and maintaining required documentation. This position is responsible for bringing services, agencies, resources, and other people together to assist clients in achieving established goals. This position may also work with high risk caseloads, co-occurring clients, families, and children.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides general clerical support for the program and/or office.
  • Answer the telephone and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
  • Greet clients and visitors; ascertain the purpose of their visit and direct them to the appropriate staff or location.
  • Type letters, reports and other materials. Proofread and post letters for mailing.
  • Enter data into the Management Information System, including Electronic Client Records (ECR).
  • Photocopy letters, forms or documents, etc.
  • Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of office area and office equipment.
  • Record minutes or notes during various meetings (staff, provider, etc.)
Requirements:

Our Ideal candidate:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills:
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
  • Knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and prepare correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, co-workers, providers, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed (evening/weekend hours).
  • Knowledge of computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Offic
