Job Description
Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance and patient transport services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.
As a patient transport technician, you will be responsible for ensuring compassionate, safe and efficient movement of behavioral health clients between healthcare facilities. You will be part of the Illinois Patient Transfer, (IPT) team and respond for clients requiring supervised transportation services supporting hospitals, patients and families across the state of Illinois.
This role is based in Champaign with travel throughout the state.
Job Duties:
- Supervise patients during transportation
- Provide proper de-escalation and aggression prevention techniques as required
- Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
- Maintain current State of Illinois drivers license
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Present and promote a positive company image
