The Global Parts Pricing team is hiring for a System & Process Excellence Director to support our mission by modernizing our systems and streamlining our process operations to enable accelerated decision making and profitable services growth. As the System & Process Excellence Director, you will manage the research, strategic development, and implementation of an enterprise-wide architecture for global parts pricing applications and systems. In addition, this position is responsible for the operational excellence of global parts pricing processes and compliance.

What You Will Do:

+ Set the vision and direction for the systems modernization and operational transformation.

+ Make recommendations, gain approval, and develop implementation strategies for new systems, applications and enhancement roadmaps. Work in close collaboration with multiple cross-functional business partners.

+ Ensure systems enable the global parts pricing team to effectively execute the following activities with scale, agility and capabilities aligned to streamlined workflows: 1) Establish, maintain, and manage global parts prices. 2) Review, validate and approve sales variance programs & claims.

+ Lead a diverse, global team and build an organizational culture that encourages continuous improvement, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success.

What Skills You Have:

Agile Development and Project Management : Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices, and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications. Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Business Process Modeling : Knowledge of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement.

Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Value Realization : Knowledge of value realization methods; ability to plan, execute, monitor and manage business activities and resources to determine and achieve the actual value from a business initiative as estimated in an associated business case.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred

+ 10+ years of relevant professional experience

+ Experience leading a global team and working across a matrixed organization

+ Knowledge of aftermarket, pricing function and technology

+ Experience in system deployment, user adoption and continuous improvement

+ Ability to deal with sensitive & critical issues, and communicate with technical & business audiences

Additional Information :

+ The primary location for this role is Peoria, IL, or Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance is available to those looking to relocate to Peoria or Dallas. We will consider other Caterpillar facilities, for those residing within 50 miles of a Caterpillar office.

+ This position may require up to 25% travel domestically, with limited international travel.
