Description:

Our client is a specialty aluminum foundry and has a proprietary process for aluminum castings and part making. They are looking to add a manufacturing engineer to their machining department

+ Responsible for programming CNC machines to develop and manufacture new parts

+ Will proof out all new parts and do first part run offs

+ Optimize engineering processes

+ Eliminate rework and scrap

+ Work cross functionally with foundry team to ensure parts and manufacturable

cnc programming, cnc machining, Process improvement, Tooling, g code, edgecam, mastercam

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

With this position, it would be ideal to identify a newer grad looking to learn this process and work, but also looking for a long-term career. They would ideally like bring someone in that can be taught the Alcast ways. If someone has worked with CAD/CAM software that is a plus so is G-code, would consider a candidate with no degree that has been on a shop floor, minor g-code editing but could step in with programming would work (AA degree and computer ability would be at least important with this level candidate).
