3M is seeking an Electrician located in Cordova, IL. This position is a FULL-TIME position.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Test, install, replace, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machine and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Record and document repair and machine maintenance information.
- Assist in training maintenance apprentices
- Monitor activities of other people working including contractors.
Required:
- A minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
- Completion of Federally-Certified (8,000 hours) formal industrial manufacturing skilled craft training program or equivalent. Or a college degree from a technical school in the electrical field.
- Willingness to be on-call.

- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
- Manage projects and time to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
- Must be literate and have electrical aptitude.
- Must be able to develop a daily work plan and be able to adjust priorities, projects and work assignments as fluctuations in business dictate.
