Job Description
Plan, direct and coordinate trucking, storage and distribution activities in accordance with organizational
policies and applicable laws and regulations. Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most
costeffective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies. Prepare and compile operations reports and
develop profit maximizing techniques. Review logs and delivery reports. Obtain and review financial data for
use in maintaining accounting records and keep financial records up to date. Prepare and manage departmental
budgets. Analyze expenditures and other financial information to develop plans, policies, or budgets for
increasing profits or improving services. Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting
or customized transportation metrics.
