Reporting to the Assembly Lead, the Assembler assists in cleaning and assembling parts for packaging. Additionally, they perform all tasks required to maintain a safe, clean and organized production, packaging and assembly space in the Turf production areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assembles high-quality parts for packaging on fast-paced and consistent schedule.
Performs QC (Product) review
QA (Process) input and development - reviews cut quality; assembly process issues, etc.
Organizes materials for packaging and packages materials in accordance with instruction from the Production Engineering Dept
Reports necessary recuts and reasons to Assembly Lead
Takes important measures on employee safety issues
Reads, interprets and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Utilizes hand-held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun
Performs quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintains a clean and safe work area

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Consistency of Method - documents and updates our processes daily, striving for consistency
Sense of Urgency - quantity and quality are equally important.
Comfortable in generating high-tolerance assemblies and production.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma/GED required or Associates Degree in Business Administration; or related field (preferred but not required)
Minimum 1-3 years in a manufacturing or purchasing environment with a focus on accuracy and quality
Comfortable in fast-paced work environment where processes are still evolving and are updated as needed depending on business requirements

Location & Reporting:
This position works out of the Turf manufacturing plant (Gilberts) and reports to the Assembly Lead. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Requires regular lifting 10-20lbs.
